ABOUT ME

THE ADVENTURES

For more than a decade, I’ve worked as an attorney defending individuals and businesses in casualty matters in the local state and federal courts. I hold a J.D. degree from Rutgers School of Law and a B.S. degree in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania. This being said, I think my greatest teachers have been, and continue to be, my husband and three children. We love to hang out and spend time together exploring our new hometown in New Jersey.

While my work can be hugely rewarding, finding a balance in my life can be incredibly stressful. The stress and the experience of anxiety actually became the path to my enrollment in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program at the Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness at Thomas Jefferson University.

Soon after experiencing the foundational course, I began to feel how the practice of mindfulness increasingly enriched my life, on both a professional and personal level. The desire to deepen my own practice and share the gift of mindfulness with others encouraged me to complete the extensive MBSR teacher training at Jefferson. I joined the team of teachers at Jefferson and now teach MBSR and graduate-level mindfulness courses.

It is with great joy that I pursue my passion of helping people by teaching mindfulness. The objective of mindfulness is for people to live more fully in the present moment and achieve greater balance, vitality and health. I believe this is possible for everyone.

During my free time, a rarity, I love to draw embellished stick figures for my greeting card line, ADVENTURES OF LITTLE C.  I find my cards help me to connect with people in kindness and compassion, and hopefully they bring a smile to someone’s day.
